Passover begins on sunset Monday, April 14, 2014

During the eight days of Passover (seven days if the holiday is celebrated within Israel), the Jewish people remember and commemorate their freedom from bondage in Egypt. In 2014, Passover will start on sunset on Monday, April 14 and will end at nightfall on Tuesday, April 22.

The focal point of Passover is the Seder. Seders are special dinners where family and friends gather to retell the story of the Jewish exodus from Egypt in 2448 B.C. Some focal points of the Seder include eating Matzah (flat unleavened bread), and bitter herbs to commemorate the bitter slavery endured by the Israelites.

Medwin Insurance Agency, located in Beverly Hills, wishes all of you celebrating a Happy Passover!
